Nine of Pentacles - #TarotImageWednesday

Good morning!! it should have been #TarotImageTuesday, but i'm a day late, so it's #TarotImageWednesday instead - variety being the spice of life and all that jazz!

This week, it's the Nine of Pentacles, and I've selected the The Wild Unknown tarot.

The rich red and gold background really helps frame this unusual take on the Nine of Pentacles. The focus still feels as if it's on wealth and security, and the phrase "feathering the nest" is the one that immediately springs to mind, with the white feathers arranged neatly, almost protectively around the cluster of golden Pentacles.

There's a sense of protecting the nest egg, but there's a purity in those feathers, bringing the element of air into an otherwise earthy card...and calling on us to think carefully about our circumstances, investments and use of resources and possessions. Only by careful consideration of those things that we take joy in, can we continue to enjoy through that feeling of strength and security tempered by cautious decision making - it's the feathers that keep the Pentacles corralled, and it's that clarity of thought that will protect the nest egg of physical resource.

What do you see in the image? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, and we can share the similarities and differences between the images in the various decks!
