The Ten of Cups - #TarotImageTuesday
Good afternoon!! it's #TarotImageTuesday
This week, it's the Ten of Cups, and I've selected the Shadowscapes Tarot.
One of my favourite images from the Shadowscapes deck, the happiness, joy and security of the Ten of Cups is palpable - two figures intertwined beneath the waters, basking in the radiant light of the sun above them, and are surrounded by the shoal of fish - ten of which are golden coloured, to represent the cups themselves.
There's a real feeling that the couple are almost oblivious to the world around them, such is the depth of their feelings for one another, and they are caught in their own dance and embrace, xdbut the feeling also appears gossamer-light, as if by its very nature the situation is ephemeral and must transform into something else, flowing like the current of the waters that surround them.
As always, Stephanie Pui-Mun Law's artwork doesn't disappoint, with the tiny details, from the male figures tattoo to the decoration in the female figures hair, it's a beautiful piece, and I only wish that they were larger cards, so that more of the details are visible!
What do you see in the image? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, and we can share the similarities and differences between the images in the various decks!
