The Ten of Pentacles - #TarotImageTuesday

Good morning!! it's #TarotImageTuesday

This week, it's the Ten of Pentacles, and I've selected the Revelations Tarot by Zach Wong.

The upright aspect of this card shows an elderly gentleman, surrounded by a loving family. The coins of his wealth are spread out around his family, suggesting that investing in those close to him has brought him security, comfort and happiness. The structured archway surrounding them all provides added strength, and frames the beautiful landscape beyond, and the pentacle at the top of the card hangs sun-like over the family, while the one in his lap rests easy without needing to be grasped... The gentleman sits serenely, with the pentacle balanced in his lap, and he seems at peace with his position at the heart of the family unit.

Conversely, in the reversed image, the brick archway feels dark and imposing, and the swirling, muddled background adds to the feeling of claustrophobia. The figure is alone, with no one to share his gifts or wealth with, and he grasps at the pentacle, holding over his face and body, as if to shield himself. The other three pentacles are within reach, either attached to his seat, or touching his head...and with the coins covering his crown, throat and heart chakras, it is easy to see the influence of money on those areas in his life as his primary concern. The card feels closed in, wrapped around that central coin, with the curmudgeon making a prison out of his insecurities about his wealth. What do you see in the image? Post your own pictures, too, and we can share the similarities and differences between the images in the various decks!
